TdJ Vol. 1 is the first volume of Totes du Jour — a photographic and archival project that observes the tote bag as idea, object, and gesture. Collected over several years across Marseille and beyond, this edition presents spontaneous encounters with tote bags in urban space: fragments of everyday life, chance compositions, and traces of cultural identity.

Each photograph in Totes du Jour Vol. 1 forms part of a living archive, documenting how language, image, and gesture intersect through the most ordinary object. The book offers a quiet study of movement, material, and meaning — where fabric becomes text and text becomes fabric.
